Fruit beer is a general term used to refer to several types of beer made with fruit. Technically speaking, any form of beer can be flavoured with fruit; these may or may not be referred to as fruit beers, or they may be referred to by the base beer. Lambics, Belgian fruit beers, may be fermented with cherries to make what is known as kriek, or fermented with raspberries to make framboise. Common flavours also include peach and strawberry. They are the most iconic branches of fruit beer.
