Flying Dog brewpub was founded by astrophysicist George Stranahan in 1990, and they started brewing in 1994. No stranger to controversy, Flying Dog have found themselves in hot water over their beer names, with ’Raging Bitch’ being refused a license in Michigan. Whatever you think of the names, you’ve got to admit that Flying Dog make great beer.
