Maredsous beers have actually been brewed under licence by Duvel Moortgat since 1963, but they do have an authentic abbey connection.
The abbey, near Denée in Belgium, was founded in 1872 in the tradition of St. Benedict and although the beer is no longer brewed on-site, it uses the same recipe passed down through generations of monks. In fact, this handwritten recipe is preserved in the abbey library. Like all abbey beers, most of the profits made from Maredsous beer sales go to charity.
This Maredsous Beer is collectively packed in a sturdy and safe Beer Hunter branded box ready for delivery.
