As a key player in the founding of Oktoberfest, Hacker Pschorr was personally commissioned by Prince Ludwig I of Bavaria to brew a special beer for his wedding in 1810. This tradition continues today, with the festival still being held on land generously donated by Joseph Pschorr, the brewmaster of the time.
