St. Bernardus has been producing Dark and Blond Abbey ales since 1946 at their brewery. As members of the Belgian Family Brewers, they use high quality malts, hops and yeast in their highly fermented beers. The Pater 6, a traditional abbey-style Dubbel ale, offers notes of raisin, dates, figs, caramel, spice, banana and tartness with a herbal hoppiness. For a medium-bodied and easy drink, the Prior 8 boasts a ruby colour and aromas of caramel, chocolate, and fig fruits. The Abt 12 is a masterfully crafted beer with complex flavours and aromas such as orange, lemon, caramel, spice, and bitterness. With a pale amber colour, the Tripel has a flowery and fruity taste with a balanced sweetness and sourness.
