St. Bernardus has been producing Dark and Blond Abbey ales since 1946 at their brewery. As members of the Belgian Family Brewers, they use high quality malts, hops and yeast in their highly fermented beers. The Pater 6, a traditional abbey-style Dubbel ale, offers notes of raisin, dates, figs, caramel, spice, banana and tartness with a herbal hoppiness. For a medium-bodied and easy drink, the Prior 8 boasts a ruby colour and aromas of caramel, chocolate, and fig fruits.
