Brasserie d’Achouffe, nestled in the Belgian Ardennes, was founded in 1982 by Pierre Gobron and Christian Bauweraerts as a hobby, which quickly turned into a full-fledged brewery. The brewery is known for its unique gnomish theme and has been part of the Duvel Moortgat brewery group since 2006. Houblon Chouffe, a pioneering Belgian IPA, blends the traditional Belgian brewing style with modern hopping techniques. It is a strong beer with 9% ABV, characterised by its bitterness and fruity taste, showcasing a blend of European and American hops – Saaz, Tomahawk, and Amarillo. This IPA is ideal for those who appreciate a strong, hoppy, and bitter beer with a blend of Belgian and American brewing styles. Its rich hoppiness and complex flavours make it an excellent choice for adventurous beer lovers and connoisseurs.
